BC Network

Welcome to The Funk Experience!

I just needed to say that during the slack years when I was just hearing BC and not seeing him,it was Brian's first website that kept me informed. Whenever I logged on I would be welcomed to the forum by the fans. One person who sticks out most in my mind is Lisa Taylor who used the name "Chica Lisa" at the time. She would always seem to be there and would respond to everyone's post it was so much fun. So if you go back 9 years or so Lisa was working just as hard on behalf of BCFC as she is now. We had developed such a strong bond on that site and we even began to phone each other and stayed in touch ever since. When we finally met face to face at BCs xmas show in chicago I was thrown for a loop by how this petite individual could posess so much tenacity( she must have taken notes from Patrice Rushen) the voice matched the lady on the phone we exchanged pleasantries and shortly she was showing me the work that I neded to do at the show on behalf of BCFC. during the course of my assignment I would see her working all over the venue and she would stop long enough to give me updated instructions. If anyone of you knows Lisa I don't have to tell you how hard she works on behalf of BCFC and its about time we give her some props. Lisa is a very good fan club president and quite in touch with its members. When she asked me to head up a chapter here in Minnesota my first thought was could I replicate her effort? I also seen that without a smooth jazz station my effort would have to double, but I am still working at it. Not only am I asking you to step up and help Lisa in your city or state by organizing BCFC chapters that are congruent with the BCFC,let us give her a great deal of encouragement and some kind of personal acknowledgement for her hard and most excellent work, because after getting to know her she would not even stop to take a bow.

To the Best Fan Club Pres out there...kudos to Ms Lisa Talyor !!! A wonderful person, friend, photographer, mother...you are truly a blessing to know. Wesley, I agree if Lisa wasn't around to give us (fans) updates on BC I would be lost. Never have I met an individual who gives her all and asks nothing in return except to see us (fans) happy and well informed. Thanks LT for the meet-n-greets !! I know sometimes its hard to coordinate and appreciate even the short hi's, take a quick pic, sign this or that and B is out the door or stage. BCFC would not be alive without you!!!

Here yay! Here yay! Props to both you and Lisa! That was very very thoughtful of you to acknowledge and post Lisa's best efforts for a job well done! One must be passionate for the music and the artists who make it all happen and its the passion that drives you and Lisa to do what you do! How exciting it must have been a while back for you to connect the way you did and to think now you head up a chapter in Minnesota even without a smooth jazz station! Kudos to you Wesley! I love it!

I would be so honoured to head up a chapter up here in the north Toronto Canada! There's no one, and I mean no one, quite like Brian! I met him at the Old Mill in Toronto back in April after the Canadian Smooth Jazz awards show. What an honour that was!

So please let me know how I can spread the word and head up a chapter here for BC fans or even fans that dont even know they are BC fans yet. Toronto (Canada) doesnt have anything of that kind and I will do anything to promote him and his music!

Cheers!
Charlotte

Bravo Lisa!!
I agree and although I have only been a BCFC member for a year, but a fan since the 1st album, I have observed the hard work you put in to keep us informed when we log on to the Fan page, Facebook, etc. I am looking forward to the meet and greet when Brian comes to the Fraze here in Ohio next month. Please let me know as well what I can do to spread the word here in Ohio about BC.

Keep on Truckin' girl and Much Love 2 Ya!!!

Ayyy, now why you want to make me cry? Thanks so much Wesley and you know those memories are cherished very close to my heart. I love this gig and I appreciate you all as well for without you, there would be no me. I love you all and we've had some great times in Arizona, Chicago just to name a few! Meeting all the fans has been quite a joy! Let's keep it moving into 2009 and support Brian as he moves on to new challenges and opportunities! You can follow him on Myspace, Facebook, Twitter and here from time to time and trust me when I say he sees all the posts from you all. Because he wears many hats from producer, musician, business man etc., his time is often limited. I do stay in touch with him and will send him interesting posts, emails etc. from you all. :) Love you and see you on the road in 2009!

Stay tuned for some very interesting announcements that I know everyone will be elated about. For now, you can check out Brian on your local smooth jazz radio as the new morning host! Yes, Brain is your new morning DJ on The 'L' - WLFM 87.7, It's New Home In Chicago along with 25 other syndicated stations throughout the U.S.
