Brian first came to Minnesota during the release of "Modern Life" his live performance sealed me as one his appreciators, though "Long Night Out" already had me groovin. Right after that we lost our first smooth jazz station. After some years I had to track down "B" in other cities just to see him perform live for we had no station to update us on any smooth jazz news. Ten years later with a new smooth jazz station on the air he came back to Minnesota to put on a DAZZLIN show that featured his dad Jim who was in rare form that night. Brian acknowledged that it had been 10 years since he had been here and promised that he would be back. A few months after his performance the second smooth jazz station went off the air. Since that time I have went to see him in Phoenix, Chicago, etc. and enjoyed seeing him cut loose with all his innerfunk. Brian made an attempt to come here last August smooth jazz station or not,but scheduling cost the show to be cancelled. Well I am here to tell you that Mr. Culbertson has not given up on us who are lees fortunate to not have a smooth jazz station, not only is he commin to Minnesota,he is bringing the funk and his friend Dave Koz with him. I am so excited I have been working harder to increase the fan club activity and membership here to run congruent with the hard work of Brian in keeping his promise. Who needs a smooth jazz station just "Bring Back The Funk"
